Find faith, find friendship, find community
Edinburgh is growing and changing. Part of that change is happening on the western edge of the city. Fields and meadows are long gone. In their place, the seeds of new community are sprouting. A brand new primary school, Maybury Primary School, has opened along with a health centre amidst a sea of new housing. It is a time full of energy and hope.
But… you got to have faith!
We don’t have a church building – we are that new! So West Church will do something fresh. A teeny tiny group has been formed to respond to the wants and needs of you good people moving in. We have faith and we want to explore it together, to grow together. So far we have holiday clubs for school age children, a new mums and babies group taking place at Turnhouse Golf Club, we are taking Bookbug into the school, and we are offering a chance for new neighbours to meet and find friends.
Over the next few weeks we will be starting up with a few different styles of service, to bring folk together who have an interest in worship:
- Forest Church – at 3.00pm on the FIRST Sunday of the month. Explore the great Cammo Estate and lift your heart and your voice (if you want to!) to the open heavens.
- Community Social – at 4.00pm on the SECOND Sunday of the month, Maybury Primary School hall – coffee, cake and friendship in the new school.
- Informal worship at 4.00pm on the THIRD Sunday of month, again at Maybury Primary School hall, contemporary, relaxed, uplifting.
- Messy Church at 4.00pm on the FOURTH Sunday of the month, for families and children. Roll your sleaves up! (Again at Maybury Primary School hall.
What’s on for the kids?
Two summer holiday clubs are taking shape. Places are limited so register your children soon! Both for primary aged children. Scan the QR codes or email Sarah. She’ll guide you.

New Mums and Babies
We are with you! When a baby is born it can be a lonely time for new mums. This group gather at Turnhouse Golf Club to gain strength, friendship and experience together. It takes a village to raise a child – so let’s become one.

Cammo Estate – it’s on your doorstep
Discover this remarkable, wild and open area with water, ruins, ancient trees, bird song and even a small swamp land. AND it’s just down the road.
